Article : A STUDY ON ADJUSTMENT PROBLEMS AND SELF CONCEPT OF HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract : This study is conducted on 1000 higher secondary students of Kanchipuram district of Tamilnadu, India. Descriptive, Differential, and Correlation Analysis were performed with data collected using the tools: Adjustment Problem Inventory constructed and validated by the investigator and Self Concept Scale constructed and standardized by Mukta Rani Rastogi (1979). The findings of the study show that low level of Adjustment Problems and moderate level of Self concept. Further among the demographic variables taken for this study, type of school management influenced the adjustment problems and medium of instruction and type of school management influenced the self concept. There is a significant relationship found between the variables Adjustment Problems and Self Concept of Higher Secondary school Students.
