Abstract : The present study was conducted with the aim of finding the predictors of adjustment behavior of B.Ed., teacher trainees of selected district of Tamil Nadu. It is an attempt to find out the personality profile of B.Ed. teacher trainees and to correlate it with their adjustment behavior. Very few studies have been done in this research area to relate personality and adjustment behavior of teacher trainees of this region. The ten personality dimensions were taken by the investigator to find out the influence of these dimensions along with the gender and the locality of the teacher trainees in their adjustment behavior. The hierarchical regression analysis had brought out only six dimensions of personality profile of the teacher trainees along with the gender could predict the adjustment behavior of them. It is a sincere empirical work tried to correlate the personality of the B.Ed., came out with relevant findings and suggestions to improve the modality of teacher training hereafter.
