Abstract : The aim of this study is to find out the professional ethics, emotional intelligence and teacher effectiveness of higher secondary teachers with reference to gender and locality of the school. Normative survey method was used for the study by the investigator. For the purpose of the study a sample of 400 teachers were selected through stratified random sampling technique. The data were collected and mean, standard deviation and t-test were used to analyze the data. The result found that the level of professional ethics, emotional intelligence and teacher effectiveness of higher secondary teachers is high and there is no significant difference between male and female, rural and urban in relation to professional ethics, emotional intelligence and teacher effectiveness of higher secondary teachers.
