Abstract : One of the greatest shifts of post-independence India was women education. Women are integral part of the society and without their proper development it is really tough to have a dynamic and progressive society. Despite sufficient progress in women education at different level gender disparity is still prevailing in educational achievement in India. India is a pluralistic society where the religious minority constitutes 20% of the population. Among them Muslims are educationally the worst off (Ahmad, M.2003). Only 11 in 100 Muslims take up higher education in India- the lowest as regard to religious based enrollment in higher education in comparison to 20% Hindus and 31% Christians (DNA Report 5th Feb, 2013). The situation is worse in rural India
