Abstract : The aim of this study is to find out the professional ethics and teacher effectiveness of higher secondary teachers with reference to type of institution and teaching experience and to find out the relationship between professional ethics and teacher effectiveness of higher secondary teachers. Normative survey method was used for the study by the investigator. For the purpose of the study a sample of 400 teachers were selected through stratified random sampling technique. The result found that the level of professional ethics and teacher effectiveness of higher secondary teachers is high and there is no significant difference in professional ethics and teacher effectiveness of higher secondary teachers with respect to their type of institution and teaching experience. It is also found that there is a significant relationship between professional ethics and teacher effectiveness of higher secondary teachers.
