Abstract : The purpose of the paper is to construct and standardization an tool for assessing Academic Self Confidence of Higher Secondary Students. A well structured test was administered among the higher secondary school students. Initially the tool was constructed with 46 statements posing questions which cover the topic in 12 dimensions. To standardize the tool the researcher used item difficulty and item discrimination index value and finally 32 statements were retained for the final study. This paper discusses about the development of the tool to measure the Academic Self Confidence of higher secondary school students.
