Abstract : The aim of the study was to find out the performance of students with visual impairment in doing science experiments. The performances were analyzed in form of skill based and concept based experiments in science subject. Factorial research method was employed for the study. The study sample consisted of 15 students with visual impairment studying integrated schools at Tamil Nadu state, in South India. Performances of students with visual impairment were collected through three point rating scale developed by the author. The data were analyzed through arithmetic mean, standard deviation and t-test. The result sowed that there is no significant difference between the skill based and concept based experiments in science subject and it was also found that there is no significant difference between standards in performing science experiments. Students with visual impairment will get clear understanding about the concept when they participate in doing the experiments directly. This shows the importance of adapting experimental aids for students with visual impairment according to their specific needs.
