Abstract : The purpose of the present research was to assess the nature of prediction of the chosen psychological variables -sociability, mental health and positive emotion disposition over the perceived professionalism being imparted through two year B.Ed. course. Descriptive Survey research design was followed in this research and the sample consisted of 350 teacher educators working in colleges of educations in Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur and Pudukottai districts. Perception about Teacher Professionalism Scale (PTS) developed and validated by the researcher was used for data collection. The study concluded that Sociability and Positive emotion disposition are the significant predictor of perceived professionalism for total sample as well as in terms of gender and the publication of research articles.
