Abstract : This paper deals about the concerns and the use of ICT in constructivist classrooms. Researches in the area of learning are emphasizing on use of student centered approaches in classroom situations. Easy access to information through WWW and Internet made the development of learner centered democratic classrooms a reality. Though there is resistance to the process from traditional thinkers, changing social context of global world is making it necessary to think of adopting flexible teaching learning processes more. This helps in fitting the learner properly in the present competitive world. In this scenario, use of constructivist approach is thought of one possible option. Even though researches are strongly supporting use of constructivist approach to create quality learner centered environments, actual classroom practices are still at a budding stage. Learner will be more interested, feel fewer burdens and will have more clarity in conception, if technology is properly integrated with learning process. The attempts to integrate technology in the classrooms are still at its basic level and there is less clarity on the process. Still technology integration in education is viewed as teaching of computers as a subject in education. There are many questions that need to be answered through proper conceptualization of the aspects of use of ICT in Constructivist learning paradigms. The present paper focuses on some such aspects.
