Abstract
:
Film is an important art form, a source of popular entertainment and a powerful method for educating - or indoctrinating - citizens. The visual elements of cinema give motion pictures a universal power of communication. Cinema is a highly complex enterprise. One can look at it from social, Economical, Political, cultural and psychological perspectives. In the present paper, the researcher has tried to present that values like patriotism, courage and patience can be taught through movies like Purab nad Paschim and Swades. Some pictures like Awatar and Three Idiots even present environmental concerns and burning educational problems. Chak De and Lagan present skills involved in leadership.
