Article : ATTITUDE OF ADOLESCENTS TOWARDS LIFE SKILL EDUCATION -A STUDY

Abstract : The present study was undertaken to know about the attitude of adolescents towards Life-Skill Education. An attempt was made to compare the attitude towards LSE among the adolescent samples with respect to the variable gender. The data were collected from three (3) purposively selected high/higher secondary schools of greater Guwahati, Assam. Thirty (30) students from class IX and class X of both sexes were randomly selected from these three schools. Life skills - Opinion Questionnaire developed by National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore was adopted for data collection. The result of the study revealed that most of the adolescent samples have a positive attitude towards Life skill Education. A significant difference was found among the boys and girls towards Life Skill Education.
