Article : ADJUSTMENT PROBLEMS AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF STUDENTS STUDYING IN RANI CHANNAMMA RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL: A FACTOR ANALYTIC STUDY

Abstract : The present study explores which adjustment and achievement variables cluster under what factor. The sample consisted of 300 girls students from Rani Channamma schools of north Karnataka. A check list was used for data collection. The data were analysed following the principal component factor analysis with varimax rotation technique on the basis of cutoff point thirteen variables were structured into three factors. The first factor extracted 42.42% of the total variance, second factor 35.73%, the third factor 21.73% of total variance respectively.
