Abstract
:
The purpose of the study is to identify the teachers views on computer facilities and computer utilization methods in schools. Questionnaire method was used to collect data from the secondary school teachers and headmasters. Around 215 questionnaires were distributed to secondary school teachers, in which 157 were completed and returned. Descriptive statistics principles with SPSS software were used for the analysis of the data. The study results show that teachers felt that introducing computer usage in schools is appreciated by the students and parents. However, the teachers report that there is a lack of technology related resources like computers, hardware, and software tools which would be a major concern at school. Moreover, there is a need for more computer trained teachers to enrich technology implementation in schools.
