Abstract
:
Attitude is a psychological process, it combines beliefs, concepts, motives, values, opinions habits and traits; it has tremendous impact on pupil. Teachers with favourable attitude can successfully develop positive attitude among children since learning depends upon effective teaching and effectiveness on part of teacher can be accelerated through positive attitude towards the profession. A teacher is required to have a higher level of professionalism because of rapidly changing circumstances. The importance of teachers professional development is being too much emphasized today. In the present study the researcher made an attempt to explore attitude towards teaching profession among the higher secondary school teachers.
