Article : CONSTRUCTION AND STANDARDISATION OF ACHIEVEMENT TEST IN ECONOMICS FOR HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract : The purpose of the paper is to construct and standardization an achievement test in Economics. A well structured test was administered among the higher secondary school students .Initially the tool was constructed with 100 statements posing questions which cover the topic in 9 dimensions. To standardize the tool the researcher used item difficulty and item discrimination index value and finally 50 statements were retained for the final study. This paper discusses about the development of the tool to measure the achievement in Economics among higher secondary school students.
