Abstract
:
A survey was conducted to study the examination anxiety of higher secondary school students in Puducherry region. Three hundred higher secondary school students were selected as sample through random sampling technique. Anxiety inventory constructed and validated by Smitha (2014) was used a tool for the present study. The tool consists of 35 items encompass both positive and negative statements. The collected data were analyzed statistically using SPSS. The result revealed that the higher secondary school students exhibited moderate type of examination anxiety. There is no significant difference in the examination anxiety level of higher secondary school students with respect to different demographic variables used in the study except parental qualification.
