Abstract : This paper intends to elucidate the present scenario of higher education in India in the light of different studies in defining the quality of higher education. It has suggested a framework to maintain quality on the ground of structures, policies at par with international standard. Finally, the roles of national and international agencies for quality assurance in higher education have been analyzed and suggestions are given for a sustained quality future higher education India.
