Author Name : Dr. Alnida Koroshi
Abstract : In our daily lives, we hear people talking more and more about studying foreign languages, how vital they are, and how crucial they become to enhance our individual skills or seek better jobs. Why not begin learning a foreign language at a young age—in primary school or even earlier, in kindergarten—if we all need to know at least one? Can this be done? What does it mean for a child to "learn a foreign language" in particular? Why should we start teaching foreign languages to kids at an early age? How can young children simultaneously acquire another foreign language when they have trouble learning their mother tongue? Is the ludic approach practical for teaching foreign languages? Are games "appropriate" in a teaching setting are language learning goals met through playing in accordance with the definitions in our foreign language study curricula? These are the questions that this research study will attempt to address and shed some light.
