Abstract : It is very important to know that the educational interest/s of students because it is that very dominating interest forms th e base of their future. Interests serve as a strong motivation to learn. If one is interested in carrying out a required activity, the experience will be far more enjoyable that if he is forced to carry it out despite their lack of interest. If a person fails to acquire a certain interest in his childhood, he may be penalized throughout his life. Many students regret not acquiring more interest in childhood. So, interest plays an important role in the entire lifespan of a person. Another factor which can be taken into consideration is gender. The interest of boys and girls may vary and at times interact. Thus, the knowledge about varying interest would help educators to encourage students to focus on their strengths and work on their weaknesses. At the Secondary School level, students are at their crucial stage. They need to be guided properly while choosing their prospects. Some parents may try to instigate their very own interest on their children. A submissive son or daughter may try to follow which may later turn into a constraint and eventually make a person depressed. It is thus mandatory for the parents to understand the need of the situation and build up a more accepting and broader way of thinking.
